Republic School District employees,

We hope this message finds you well!

Although there are a few weeks of summer left, this is a reminder that all employees will soon receive their memos, extra-duty contracts and/or employment letters through Frontline Central via email. These items will not be mailed out as in years past. Instead, all staff will receive a link to their documents in an email by the end of this week and will have 10 days to sign them digitally. Click here for more information about how to navigate Frontline Central.

We're looking forward to seeing everyone at the All Employee Meeting on August 12! Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. and the meeting will begin at 8:15 a.m. Please note: All employees are asked to wear their 2023-2024 Tennis Shoe Tuesday t-shirt with "Academics, Culture, Leadership" on the front! New teachers are asked to wear the shirt they will receive at New Teacher Induction.

As a reminder, the Staff Communicator e-newsletter will be distributed each Thursday that school is in session, as well as once in June and once in July. It may also be distributed as needed throughout the year. Archives can be found here.

NEW Parent Portal and Back to School Registration

Online registration is now available for all students attending Republic Schools in the 2024-2025 school year! ALL students (preschool through 12th grade) must have a parent/guardian complete the required forms through the new Infinite Campus Parent Portal by Wednesday, August 7. As a reminder, specific forms must be completed for students to participate in various activities, including technology usage.

NEW PARENT PORTAL NOTES: With the implementation of our new student information system, families of students who attended our district last year will need to create accounts in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal prior to completing online registration and back to school forms. This includes pre-registered incoming Early Childhood and Kindergarten families. Details and instructions for creating a Parent Portal account and completing Online Registration are available here.

Reminder: We've been made aware that staff members, who are also parents of students in the district, might run into issues when trying to create their new Infinite Campus Parent Portal accounts and complete online registration. If you are both an employee and a parent, and are having trouble with the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, please contact Danielle Luaders via email (danielle.luaders@republicschools.org).

EC and Kindergarten Families: We appreciate you completing online forms when you enrolled your child for preschool or kindergarten screening in the spring, however, there are additional forms required before your student can start school. Please plan to create a Parent Portal account and complete this process by August 7.

STRIPES 360 Registration Also Open

STRIPES 360 is looking forward to another great school year serving our families through before and after school care programs. An initial enrollment period will take place for Tiger STRIPES, Tiger PALS and Tiger TEENS July 15-August 9 to begin on the first day of school. Enrollments received after August 9 will not be able to begin until August 26.

To best ensure your student’s spot, it is important that you register as soon as possible. Spots will be first come, first served. Within a few days after registering, you will receive communication from STRIPES 360 with either confirmation of your student’s registration along with an invoice for your first payment OR notification that your student has been placed on a waiting list. STRIPES 360 continues to be committed to providing a fun, safe environment for students needing before and after school care.

Visit the STRIPES 360 webpage for details and to register.

Training Videos Due September 6

This week, all employees should have received an email with required training videos. The email was from Republic R-III and the subject was "Vector Training, K-12 Edition Online Training." In the event you did not receive your email, you can visit https://republicschools-mo.safeschools.com/login to access the required videos. Login information is your district email address with no password required.

The deadline to complete these training videos is Friday, September 6.

Please contact Mr. Jason Perkins (jason.perkins@republicschools.org) if you have questions.

Tennis Shoe Tuesdays 2024-2025

“Tennis Shoe Tuesdays” are back… but this time it’s EVERY TUESDAY for the entire school year! Each Tuesday employees will have the opportunity to wear their tennis shoes with a free, district-provided t-shirt and jeans! The hope is that "Tennis Shoe Tuesdays" will inspire employees to get extra steps in and focus on their wellness while in more casual clothing.

The first “Tennis Shoe Tuesday” will be September 17! Follow the link below to provide your t-shirt size by August 14. These free, district-provided t-shirts will be delivered the week of September 9.

Career Ladder/RepMO Tutoring Update

The Republic School District is dedicated to compensating certified staff for additional responsibilities that are directly related to supporting student success and district goals. As mentioned in the June edition of Staff Communicator, the district’s application for Career Ladder has been approved by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The district will also offer RepMO Tutoring opportunities that have previously been available. However, staff will only be able to participate in one of the two programs.

A committee has been formed to develop and oversee the Career Ladder program. The committee is made up of elementary and secondary teachers, administrators and district leaders. An employee’s application to participate in Career Ladder must be submitted by August 23. An email from Dr. Allison Dishman, Executive Director of Secondary Learning, will be sent on August 2 with details for qualifying responsibilities and additional steps in the application process. Information will also be shared about RepMO Tutoring to support staff in choosing which program they would prefer.

Open Positions & Referral Incentive

We are hiring! Check out the graphic below for a list of open positions across the district. Feel free to share this list with anyone who might be a good fit for one of these positions!

Click here for a complete list of open positions with application details.

Take note: The Republic School District is now offering a $1,000 referral bonus for referrals that are hired as a bus driver or bus aide with the Transportation Department! The referred and referring employee can both receive this payment after the referred employee has worked a minimum of 9 segments during their first 90 days of employment. In addition, the referred employee must not have been an employee of the Transportation Department within the last three years. For more information about this incentive or available positions, contact the Transportation Department.

Wellness Newsletter

Our district's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan includes a focus on overall wellness for our students and staff. Through that effort, our Staff Wellness Facilitator, Nancy Leonard, will be creating a internal, digital wellness newsletter each month, which will be shared in weekly Staff Communicator emails. We hope this will support all of our teammates on their wellness journey!

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Nancy Leonard.
