Online registration will need to be completed online through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal by Wednesday, August 7.
Please note: The Infinite Campus Parent Portal is new this school year. Details and instructions for signing up and using the portal are available here. As a reminder, all existing families of students who attended our district last year will need to create accounts in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal prior to completing online registration and back to school forms.
Similar to our previous program, the Infinite Campus Parent Portal is a tool that families can use throughout the school year to monitor items like meal balances, grades, attendance, etc.
ALL students (preschool through 12th grade) must have a parent/guardian in their primary household complete required forms in online registration. See the notes below. Please keep in mind, specific forms must be completed for students to participate in various activities, including technology usage and athletic/activity participation.
EC and Kindergarten Families: We appreciate you completing the online forms when you enrolled your child for preschool or kindergarten screening. However, there are additional forms to complete so please plan to access the Parent Portal by August 7 to fill those out.
For more Back to School details, visit the district’s website at republicschools.org/backtoschool.
Please take note of the following items that pertain to the online back to school forms found in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
RepMO Ready Technology Plan: Every student in kindergarten through 12th grade will be issued a take home technology device as part of the RepMO Ready plan. Our goal is to provide a digital learning device to all students for use both at school and at home. Students are responsible for the care of their assigned device at all times, both at school and home. The district strongly encourages families to purchase an Accidental Damage Protection Plan explained in the online form found on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Students will not be allowed to use school technology resources until the appropriate online form has been completed. The deadline to purchase ADPP is August 30.
To purchase ADPP, visit the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Instructions are available here. Payment can also be made at Open House events or in the building office.
Elementary students will keep their devices at school until winter weather season approaches. During these winter months, elementary students will take devices home when potentially severe weather is in the forecast, which will allow the district to implement AMI (virtual learning) days, if needed.
Student/Parent Handbook: The Student/Parent Handbook provides a summary of the practices, policies and procedures our district follows. Please review the document here. The handbook will remain on the website throughout the entire school year, and printed copies can be requested by contacting our building office. Digitally signing the online Policy and Procedure Acknowledgment form during online registration indicates approval of this document.
Free/Reduced Meal Application: The Free and Reduced Meal Application will be available for families to fill out on the Infinite Campus Parent Portal after a student's registration has been approved by their school building AND a parent/guardian has created a Parent Portal account. A paper version of the application can also be found here.
Take note, qualifications for this benefit may have changed and the application must be filled out to utilize this benefit during the 2024-2025 school year. Take note, qualifications for this benefit may have changed and the application must be filled out to utilize this benefit during the 2024-2025 school year.
Keep in mind, the Free and Reduced Meal Application affects more than just meals. It provides funding for our schools, discounts for families, as well as scholarships and financial aid for students. In addition, families who qualify for free and reduced meals may also qualify for the following:
Reduced ADPP fees, as well as discounted home internet services
Discounts on ACT test fees, college application fees and some dual credit courses
Discounted tuition for the Republic Early Childhood Center and STRIPES 360 programming
STRIPES 360 is looking forward to another great school year serving our families through before and after school care programs. Students must be registered by August 9 to begin on the first day of school. Enrollments received after August 9 will not be able to begin until August 26. Registration information can be found on the STRIPES 360 webpage.
First day of school expectations:
Only incoming Kindergarten students can be walked into Sweeny on the first day of school.
Kindergarten families wanting to participate should arrive at 8:40 am. Please allow extra time and have your ID as we will check in each parent through our secure Raptor visitor system.
This will only occur on the first day of school.

All shirts will be shipped to Sweeny and we will send them home with your child once they arrive. The online store is open until September 6th. Shirts can only be purchased online.
Important note when ordering: If ordering for more than one student or for other family members, please choose one student to submit the order under and all the shirts will be sent home with them.

RMS: 7:40 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
RHS: 7:30 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.
EVERY Friday, students will be released one hour early to provide teachers time to collaborate for student learning. This impacts all day preschool students through 12th grade students. Partial day preschool students are not impacted. Click here for more information on Friday Early Release. On Friday Early Release days, start times will not change, but release times will be as follows:
Sweeny: 2:40 p.m.
RMS: 1:50 p.m.

STRIPES 360 offers after school care for families who only need care on Friday Early Release. Learn more about that program here.
Monday-Thursday, the building will be open for students to enter beginning at 8:10 a.m. with the school day officially beginning at 8:30 a.m. Students will be dismissed at 3:40 p.m.
Each Friday is an early release day. Students may still arrive beginning at 8:10 a.m. with the school day officially starting at 8:30 a.m. Dismissal will occur at 2:40 p.m. For more information on weekly Friday early release, please visit our webpage to find answers to frequently asked questions.
If your child will have a change in their daily transportation plan, please contact the Sweeny office at 417-732-3670 by 3:10 p.m. to notify the office of this change. If your child needs to be picked up early, they must be picked up by 3:25 p.m. For Fridays, transportation changes will need to be made by 2:10 p.m. and early pickups will need to be done by 2:25 p.m.
Car Line Traffic Map: Click HERE for the Sweeny car line traffic map. Families for both Sweeny and Lyon will enter the driveway north of Sweeny on North Main Avenue. Sweeny vehicles should stay in the right lane, while Lyon vehicles should stay in the left lane. When picking up, please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to dismissal as that creates traffic congestion and safety concerns for our students and staff. Emergency vehicles must be able to access our driveways and parking lots during the entire school day in the event of an emergency.
The district Food Services Department offers daily breakfast and lunch options. Meals may be prepaid by submitting cash/check to the school office in a sealed envelope with the student(s) name and amount enclosed on the outside of the envelope. You can pay for school meals at Open House events!
In addition, through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, families have the option to make online meal payments. Like other online payment systems a processing fee is applicable (3.75% for Debit/Credit and 0.35 for e-checks). To make an online meal payment, log in to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Instructions are available here.
Meal prices for the 2024-2025 are listed below.

EC/Elementary Lunch $2.70
Secondary Breakfast $1.40
Secondary Lunch $2.90
Reduced Breakfast FREE
Reduced Lunch $0.40
Adult/Visitor Breakfast $2.75

Visitors are able to complete our onsite background check, Raptor, with a personal ID the day of their visit.
Volunteers will need to complete the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR). It provides a more extensive background check than our Raptor system, which is needed for volunteers who spend more individual time with students than our visitors.
See the graphic below for details about the differences between visitors and volunteers.
Volunteers must go through a two-step process each school year:
Register with the FCSR for the first time OR Update your current information with the FCSR if you have ever registered in the past.
Return the completed FCSR paper form (page 2) to your student's school.
The FCSR requires volunteers to complete an online registration process that involves a one-time, lifetime fee of $15.25. It is the responsibility of the volunteer to cover this one-time, lifetime fee. The online registration process can be found at FCSR-BSEES - MO.gov. (NOTE: This registration process CANNOT be completed on a mobile browser/device.)
If you have registered in the past, please ensure that all personal information is current with the Family Care Safety Registry by calling 1-866-422-6872 before submitting your paper form. Incorrect information in their system will delay clearance.
Once the online portion is complete, a paper FCSR form must be filled out and submitted to your student’s school each school year. This form can be found here. For extra resources, please check out our FCSR Frequently Asked Questions Page (FAQs).
Take note, the wait time for the FCSR information to be processed at the state level and for the district to be notified can possibly take up to 30 days. We recommend completing this process as early as possible each school year. An email or letter from the FCSR will not be accepted as a cleared status. Republic School District will request a cleared status from MO-DHSS.
Republic School District is pleased to partner with Teacher Lists to simplify your school supply shopping. By following this link, you now have the option to use one-click online ordering or to print supply lists and go to the store directly for purchasing. Local vendors will also have these lists available, as in the past.
Additional supplies for high school students will be presented the first week of classes in course syllabus documents.
Please call the Sweeny office with changes in contact information as soon as possible throughout the year. Sweeny educators value communication with families and are always available for students and parents.
